Affordable Housing in Montreal

Office municipal d'habitation de Montréal (OMHM)

The Office municipal d'habitation de Montréal (OMHM) is a non-profit organization formed in 2002 following the merger of 15 island of Montréal municipal housing departments.

The OMHM administers four types of programs, all of which are designed to provide housing solutions for low and moderate income Montréal households.

The first three programs (public housing, rent supplement, and the Québec affordable housing program) are jointly funded by the federal and provincial governments and by the Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal. The city of Montréal is solely responsible for funding the referral service.
